I was so pleased to find that the terrace gets the afternoon sun. I thought that it would be in the shade all day, but that's because I was getting forgetting that everything is upside in Europe, and the sun appears to go the wrong way.
We haven't been able to spend as much time with him as we would like because of work, but we managed to go to St Peter's Basilica together on Monday afternoon, and then have dinner at one of our local restaurants.
A few days ago Paul left Rome to take a little trip to Gubbio, Florence, Verona, and then Estonia (apart from the fact that he would like to go to Estonia, it has the added attraction of being a country that none of us have ever been to and proably never will - this will give him extra points when we show off about the different places that each of us have visited). He plans to come back to Rome next Thursday so that we can go somewhere together. Hopefully we will have a bit more spare time then, because we only have one more week of Italian lessons to go.
We are praying for all our blog followers....yes, that's YOU
So THAT's where Paulie's been!
